2015 Is Near

Tom Kudirka is the President of 2015. 2015 is working on the official SiN Add-on pack to be released within a few months of SiN's release.

Can you please tell us a bit about the history of 2015?

I formed 2015 in 1997 from guys I discovered via the Internet. Most everyone was involved in some sort of Commercial release or TC. Everyone relocated to Tulsa from different parts of the country. The add-on will be our first release as a team.

What made you decide to make a SiN Expansion Pack rather than a HalfLife (or other) one?

I knew Harry Miller (CEO) and the Ritual boys back when they were working on the first Quake Mission Pack, Scourge of Armagon, and was impressed by their talents and knew that they were going to come out with something hot. So when the opportunity presented itself to work with Ritual we were pleased.

Have you begun working on the SiN Project yet?

Yes, we began working on the add-on last spring.

Have you decided on a name for it?

There are several names we are tossing around right now, but nothing is set in stone at this time.

Do you plan to make complete games in the future? Instead of just add-ons?

Yes, we will begin working on our own game once this add-on is complete.

What's the difference between making an add-on and making a complete game?

The biggest difference is that when you create an add-on you are trying to extend someone else's vision. The add-on needs to have the same look, feel, style and gameplay as the original game. When you create your own game you are working on your own vision, which allows you a lot more freedom.

What will the add-on include? New weapons? etc.

The add-on will include a new storyline, new levels, new weapons and monsters and a few surprises.

Will the add-on add any special features to SiN that aren't in there yet?

Yes, we have several surprises in store.

When do you hope it will be completed? A month after SiN? More? Less?

Right now the target release date for the add-on is about 3 to 4 months after SiN's release.

Well, that's all folks! Many thanks to Tom for taking the time to answer my questions.. Thanks man!
