Any one know where I get the SiN Episodes in the D/FW area? All the books store I tried this weekend had the on with Quake 4 on the cover.

I looked and couldn't find it, I didn't look hard, you could probably find a foreign magazine store that would sell it.

I received my copy of PC Gamer today, it was bought and sent to me by a friend from the UK. Most of the information on the eight pages is already covered in the EuroGamer summary (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=59937), however there are some things which I find interesting (minor spoilers!):
- the driving AI of Jessica is context sensitive, meaning that she will react to any given situation that might occur by coincidence
- the context look system enables characters to notice and comment on things you look at or mess with
- locational damage goes as far as enemies who have their legs shot off will still fire at you from the ground, and they can be treated by squad members
- Ritual expect players to replay episodes so that the decisions they make will influence the making of the next episode with more certainty (duh)
- released episodes can be upgraded with more engine or gameplay features which are introduced in later episodes
There are a few concept artworks and one or two more screenshots in the article than on the Internet, most of it is Freeport scenery (which looks similar to the artwork we saw on LegionPharma). There is a drawn/rendered picture of JC similar in style to the drawing of Jessica we know. The 4yoUreyesonly subpage on LegionPharma shows JC's eyes and new glasses. He looks very similar to what we know from Sin 1, however his hairstyle has changed a bit (shorter haircut) and you can clearly see his full face and eyes now. He also seems to be two or three years older, but he's still the JC we know!
The only render of Blade displayed in the mag is a gray "stone model", but it looks exactly like Blade from Sin 1. I'm relieved that Ritual managed to give the characters technical upgrades, but kept the original design close, not like the prototype screenshots of Blade and Elexis that we saw last year. Elexis isn't seen anywhere in the article, BTW.
Oh yeah, and some nasty mutant heads are also in there! Most of them look pretty new and they are ugly as hell. I bet Sin's mutants will become quite scary with the Source engine, unlike the comic things from Sin 1.

Cool, thanks for the information.
Locational damage is awesome, pretty much the only game that did that right was Soldier of Fortune. Even now, in most shooters enemies donŽt react at all when you shoot them, unless the shot is fatal. And even if they do they react exactly the same when you shoot them in the foot as when you shoot them in the chest.
In Return to Castle Wolfenstein for example, some nazi would come running at you, youŽd shoot him in the leg, heŽd keep running at you, youŽd shoot him in the leg again, heŽd still keep running at you, youŽd shoot him in the leg some more, he doesnŽt even blink and keeps running at you, then youŽd shoot him in the leg for the 7th or 8th time and suddenly he drops dead, greasping his chest.
ThatŽs just dumb.
P.s.
I wonder what Elexis looks like now, real smart (sneaky) of Ritual to keep that under wraps for now...
