out of sheer nostalgia I checked out an old school gaming site tonight...blues news. not exactly on my web history for the past 6 years. computer sites period. holy sheisse, what do I see...a link to SiN screenshots???

I was in shock. Roll to the forums, crossed fingers I click... and I'm just dumbfounded, discombobulated. I havent been on this board in 4 years. I login and it remarkably is still active. I have a message from Tr0dd trying to find out what I'm up to...in 2002.

scrolling through the forum is like a SiN hall of fame reunion. pez ppl, maple nut crunch talk, GIBANATOR, the darth jedi!!!!! hell, smokey UPS if it aint you too. and LANIK, you nuking bastard, I still remember that WoS tournament. Gib even thows in an aside for rome MiB, really scraping out the cobwebs now. Milhouse and Badman working for Ritual, that is greatness. Bass2496!!! Ripper and Sicko!!! Dr. Woo, I will be sure to load up sin just to play on MNC once again.

hope you are all well. quick update on tnt'ers: troll is in dallas married to a great russian gal, still plays games occasionally last I checked he was big into call of duty and BF1942. ryno is in quebec (!) canada on mission. I'm in houston working as a chemist for the oilfield, play CoD when I get the chance but I ride sportbikes religiously these days. Just got back from the motogp at laguna seca with the girl this weekend, holy crap do I love california. bass, I'll be your neighbor soon!

Hey 12 - I have been really busy this summer. I started to go back to school again. My job is going great but I just want to have another degree to fall back on if times ever get bad. I started playing half life 2 before the summer, along with CoD. I found my Sin cd but its too scratched up to install. The wos cd looks like its in good condition. I wonder what sin will look like on my system that is 10 times faster than 1999. Back then my setup was a p2 233 with 2 voodoo 2 cards in sli mode and 300+ megs of ram. Now I run a 256 meg ati card, 2600+ barton, 512 ram.
The only thing I wish I had were all the screen shots I took back in the days. I lost them all in a format years ago. I want the ones that shows Ryno, 12-guage and me scoring 30 kills in under 2 minutes.
Our old skins would be cool too.
I was dorming with Ryno back then and I still tell stories of how he would beat the living crap out of his desk when our cable modem would act up. We won that WOS tourny with an average of 300ms pings with spikes into the 400's. He was cussing a storm and slapping his desk around like a dirty ho going into shock.

I found a sin cd at EB games for $1. I'll pick it up for you...I'm heading up to dallas twice in august, once for first saturday and another for high school reunion. if you could let me borrow that WOS cd we'd be set...

I have those screenshots and skins on a cd somewhere. I will be sure to try and find them before I come up there.

sin looks really good on my puter, the game feels amazing even now. I dont like the feel of the sin sniper rifle compared to CoD or the AWP in cs, but everything else rocks. oh, and quad spider mines in CTF is hella fun... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

we got links to skins throughout the forums.. quite a large collection of them.
Even with all the other games out there, nice how smooth SiN moves huh?

The shotgun is still teh uber though.
