Just like Half Life 2 silver or gold edition, whichgives you possibility to play Half Life 1, I'd love to see such offers. It's not like you'd lose much money by giving away some 6 year old "abandonware".
SiN : Source would be so cool! But keeping it unchanged would be fine too /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Pretty please?

Nothing has been announced on this but it's something they're considering.
I'm not too bothered about the original SiN (I have it already) but it would be great to see SiN: Source.

Personally, I would rather see them creating new episodes and such rather than spending time reworking older games.

I would love to see the original sin multiplayer integrated to SiN Episodes with the new engine. Main problem with SiN was not enough players due to the inital buggy release. I'm sure with a new release everyone would love it because SiN was my only online game for a couple of years (on 56K too /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif).
Fair enough if it was a total pain to implement, but it would be nice.

I'd love to see a remake of SiN on the source engine, but i'd rather they spend their time on SiN episodes and think of remaking the original as an afterthought.
That's just me though.
Still, it would be very cool to get all of them as a package.

As was mentioned in the interview with 1UP.com last week, SiN: SOURCE is already in consideration for development. I know that for a number of the community it can be really hard to sit still (just look at what happened with HL2 /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif ), but wouldn't it be best if a game exceeded you expectations?
I suggest anyone who wants to play the first SiN be patient, and wait until the SOURCE-remake is released.

All possibilities are being considered and putting the original SiN on Steam is one of them. More information when the final pricing plan is announced.

I know that this isn't particularly useful, but I'd like to echo my support for this anyways. Mainly because I haven't played & can't find the original. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Your post is useful, it helps us to gauge the demand for certain features, games, etc.

As a suggestion, though, I don't think you should call it SiN: SOURCE, or you end up dragging it into a growing trend of making it nothing more than a remake of the first game... like Valve has been doing with HL1, CS and now Day of Defeat.
The name Original SiN might be more appropriate...

All that said, and a few things assumed, I'm probably not the only one here that never had the chance to play the original SiN or its expansion. I imagine there's, at least, a minority that wouldn't mind having it available through one means or another. I'm not to broke to shell out a few extra bucks in order to get caught up with the story before playing the SiN Episodes.

It is more than likely that SiN and Wages of SiN will be available on Steam prior to the release of SiN Episodes.

Probably not. Most likely will the original publisher interfere with this . . .

While I can't say that a publisher would interfere or not, it has been stated that there is an intent to port these to the Steam platform. My impression is that the reason it's been so long until we've seen a Sin property is so that Ritual could have the desired control of it's properties related to Sin.
I'm guessing most rights have expired by now.....
It would be nice to have them (sin ports) sooner than later so that we could satisfy our desire for Multiplayer but not at the expense of slowing down Sin : Episodes....in my opinion.

I just hope that in SiN Episodes players will have a player model instead of being a pair of hands, that way unofficial multiplayer could be more quickly implemented.
((Or we could have boxes with hands))

I also would like to get the original SiN as I never got to play it other than the demo.
