What game Engine does BHD use?

What is the game engine you guys are using to program this game in?

Just curious, cause I'm almost sure it's not a id engine.

Also, if the engine is different, what are the disadvantages/advantages to working with this engine instead of an id engine (although modified) that you guys usually use?

The engine is an in-house technology developed by NovaLogic. Shockingly enough, it's official name is 'Black Hawk Down Engine'.

I see. I wonder what the devs think of it. I know Ritual has done extensive work with id engines, just wondering if they like/dislike this engine. I'm not a programming guru by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm sure there are things between the two that are odd or different. Just curious what some of the feelings are that they have about it.

Actually it is an enhanced C4 graphics engine ( Comanche 4 ) and if I may say so Ritual have made a nice job on Team Sabre.

Thanks for the feedback. We've been real excited with the positive responses so far over at the Novalogic forums.
