CTF Quarry

Say hello to CTF Quarry. It's definitely incomplete and there is still quite a bit to add, but it's a small preview ready for testing. Later on I'll add an industrial sublevel as well as some rock...

Choosing Textures

I always have trouble picking out what textures I should use and which ones look best. This may sound a little vague, but is there a system or method that would make choosing textures a little easier?

holy crap... in all seriousness, if you rename the exe from EF2 to quake3 the problem goes away

Well I have a map that is mostly done save for some detail and a skybox. Only trouble is, when I add the skybox, it 'kills' the map, and ends up looking like there are no brushes or lights in the map...

I turned the stairs etc. to detail right after i uploaded the other map and it cut down on compile time considerably.
Thx for the textures... 99% of the current textures in the map are temporary, but...

hmm... here is a problem. Every time i compile the map now, everything dissappears except for the entities. This happens in the map file and the bsp. So i get a file out of the snapshots folder and...
