It's worth noting that the single player component of CZ is a separate code base from the multiplayer CS component.

The multiplayer component will simply be the latest version of the counterstrike...

It was talked about early on. What it boiled down to was the fact that with the new lighting system we have, we wouldn't be able to make it actually look good. Thus out the window.
