More specifically, the shader can be edited to remove the environmental effects.
Locate textures/metals/dark_riveted_spec in the metals.shader file. (this file should be in your scripts directory)
Remove these lines from the shader, including the curly braces:
blendFunc GL_DST_COLOR GL_ONE
I suggest you copy this shader to your own shader file if you plan on distributing this map.
