Default SDK/Wiki hopefully coming soon!

For those that haven't been watching the SiN Episodes blogs:

http://www.sinepisodes.com/index.php?blog

-------EXCERPT-------

SDK/Wiki Plans

"Now, with Arena mode, there’s going to be demand for new maps. Well, very soon, we’re going to be releasing a tools SDK to address that very issue. The SDK will feature everything a budding mod-maker will need to create Single Player or Arena Mode maps. I can’t wait to see what the community does with this, and what kinds of crazy maps will come out. I’m expecting some really wild Arena maps to come out very soon after we release this release.

Related to this, in order to help budding map makers and modders out, we’re going to be putting up a Wiki, where we’ll have all our “how-to’s” and strategies in place so that you guys and gals don’t have to pull your collective hair out trying to figure out how to set up and configure everything. Community support is a big focus for us, and this is one of the ways we’re trying to meet it."

Thanks for pointing out the update, I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise.
What kind of blog is one which doesn't have an RSS/Atom feed to subscribe to for keeping on top of updates…

Aasyranth posted this message many hours earlier than Ritualistic.com did, hence I read it here first. (I'm subscribed to the Ritualistic feed already.)

Heheh- I guess that someone tells Shacknews.com first about all the updates. That's where I always hear it from, and they've always gotten the word within hours of the update.

Merging the Wiki with VDC would probably be a better idea. At the very least, there should be an interwiki prefix set up.

Yeah, I guess it would make sense for it to be connected with the Source Wiki in some way. Either way, it should come in handy.

It would be tricky to do. We have changed the way some entities work and added some additional behaviors, so it would be an interesting study in usability to see how the two could be effectively merged...

In that case, I suppose that they'll have to do what they must to avoid confusion. Perhaps the SiN Wiki could link to pages from the VDC when needed/relevant.

From what I understand, that is the plan. Of course, I could be wrong...I have been known to be wrong before.
