In single-player, a highly modified version of the Half-Life AI was programmed specifically for CS gameplay. Many extensions were added to provide smarter teammates and challenging opponents.

whatre u asking about the # of enemies? that doesnt make sense to me. why would the number change. the only way i see that happening is changing the difficulty level. yuo know, less enemies in easy and more in hard.

What im saying is, the games gets boring if the enemys are always in the same spot everytime u play it. It would be cool if the enemies could move around and be stuff.

The enemies start off in the same location, however once the level starts they are free to navigate at their own will to seek you out to attack.

There may be parts in the game where you alert an enemy to your presence and if you back track or take a different turn you won't encounter enemies in the same position because they will be trying to track you down.

That's how the AI behaved in Half-Life. You can use HL single-player as a reference point.

I remember how Gearbox's CZ was going to use the German Pod bots which were awsome, but thats history, I love it .
