Default Sierra Insider Newsletter

CZ is featured in Sierra's May 2003 newsletter. The exclusive screenshot was previously released.

Much higher quality than the previous version, however.

I'm pretty sure it's a new screenshot (though it's quite similar to a shot that previously appeared on GameSpot).

Upon closer inspection, I realize it's a new screenshot:

What are the odds of the TMP (or is that a USP?) guy catching a HS?

*Mega rolling of eyes*

Now I realise why I don't play CS - unappreciative idiots like the guys who posted above.

I think the shot looks really good!

I'll definately be checking out CZ's single player.

*MEGASUPER DUPER ROLLING OF EYE'S!* Holy Eyes BATMAN!

Most of the complaint about cz's graphics in that ss, is probobally overembelished (much like a trekkie explaining how good his social life is), and is not really representative of what the cs community feels. Most of the community (that aren't nubs and have nice machines) change the models, so what does it matter if there are some crappy graphics? There are already hundreds of replacements.

I assure you that Trekkies have better social lives than '1337' speaking CS players.

see, there's quite a few levels of cs veterancy.

following example, from when you first start playing and up.
1. you just got cs, and the awp is the coolest gun ever because it kills in one shot.
2. you decide the awp is lame because it kills in one shot and you always die from it.
3. you figure out that you used to be an idiot and it's all fair.

also, as such:
1. you don't know you can replace models.
2. you find out, and think all these new models are the best things ever because now you can see people better in dark places.
3. you finally hit cal, and are forced to use the old models. you realize that the guy who made the originals knew what he was doing.

rootbin, you have accurately summed up the first 4 months of any cs players game life. But you didn't mention anything about hacking. EVERY cs player has probobally accused a good player of hacking, some do this more often than others though. But this really starts happening aftter step 3. Because usually by step 3, most players are from time to time starting to get a kill ratio of 1+ on various servers, and thusly think they are the best cs players in the world

for hacking:

1. you do not understand why no one dies when you shoot them, and are amazed at how good people are.
2. this stage lasts for a long time. everyone is a hacker. most people never move on to stage three.
3. you realize that yes, there are people who devote their lives to this game, and as such you can do nothing to stop their rule of hs terror.
