Default I hope not

I just read this (just relaying information from planethalflife).
Gabe Newell (Valve):
"We'll release Condition Zero when it's done and we'll release Half-Life 2 when it's done.
Anyhow, how would we actually deal with Condition Zero slipping dramatically? We certainly wouldn't delay HL-2. What happens if CZ slipped again? Then you'd have nothing to sell, for no good reason. All the MOD teams would be sitting around with no new engine to work on. And on and on ... If CZ were really going to slip, we'd be far more likely to postpone it until well after HL-2, and port it to Source.
I'm pointing this out not because we have this problem but so people can have enough insight into how these kind of decisions would get made so they can filter them themselves.
So, CZ isn't slipping, and even if it did, it would have no impact on the HL-2 schedule."

Their is no way they are porting this to the source [censored] that. I've been waiting too long for that to happen. If they do I'm taking a trip to ritual and getting a copy from one of their angry employees.
It's logical at this point that they both cant be released so close together, which only points out how logical it would have been to release it a month ago.

Wow, I just posted this in the other topic. Oh well, if they don't read it there they'll read it here

I don't really care which way it goes, as long as Ritual still does it -- I trust them.

Screens would be the most likely. Demo? Nah, probably not.

I love those Tom Clancy games. They really kick some rear. Of course they don't let you jump off a roof, shoot two people in the head while in midair, and then have a nice safe landing. That's why we need CS, "Quake with more realistic weapons."
