Default FAKK2 CD rom running install program randomly and crashing system.

At random the install program from the FAKK2 cd rom will run. I can have the computer on for a while and suddenly for no reason the fakk2 install program will pop up.

I would even mention this except today my CD rom suddenly became active like it does when the FAKK2 install proggie is comming up. Only this time it froze my system and lost about 5 minutes of my work.

Yeah I hear ya! It happens to me with Q3 and Unreal/UT as well.

Just goto Game Copy World, this site has saved my ass for years now. They have a cd patch for just about every pc game know to man. Just locate the ver. of your game, download the patch and follow the directions, it's as easy as that. And you'll never have to deal with FAKK2's cd ever again! Or any other game cd, lol.

Hope this helps, can't believe you didn't know about this site, lol.

You gotta mess with your cdrom settings, that's the problem.

I mean a cd can't tell the cdrom to spin-up and autorun the cd... heh.
