drunkymonkey, I love the suggestion you made lol The one with them in the dirt. However I don't see that happening as much as fans would like. And Cindy, keep with Doom 3. A friend of mine hates shooters and she still bought it. She won't play it passed a certain time at night but she plays it lol. She gets freaked out by demons and stuff easily cause she's a big Christian. Wait till she gets to the Hell level |

Are you planning to get any of the new consoles? They are shaping up to be pretty cool, but the PS3 seems like a big time rip off. $599 for the full featured one, no thanks . |

THIEF! I love that game!
when my mate first showed me Thief: The metal age I fell in love with it and bought a copy on the way home, he didn't see me again for like 3 weeks, same happened when deadly shadows came out, I loved playing it at night with my monitor as the only light source (The controls became a second language lol) and several parts did creep me out. Heh, thanks Cindy , I'll swing by the forums some day and say hi. |

I love thief too. On deadly shadows I couldn’t do the haunted level so I never got to finish it. I don’t know why that one freaked me out so much. I was thinking it would be cool to make a modern times thief type source mod some time.

System Shock 2. I didn't know it was up for free download. That kicks ass! Anyone have a link to it? Speaking of scary games, I think that games such as System Shock 2 and Vampire: Bloodlines proves that it isn't graphics that make a game creepy as hell, its the way they make everything crawl under your skin. For me, Doom 3 was a walk in the park at night. Silent Hill 4: The Room, I REFUSED to play that after 9:30pm. I made the mistake of playing at midnight one night... Didn't get any sleep that night. But I think that things popping out at you are no longer scary. With modern day 'horror' movies you expect things to pop out making them much, much worse to watch because it feels dull. But a true horror flick will get under your skin and let it sit there, waiting for the moment that you finally notice that little bump in your skin and watch it start to grow. I think that's what made System Shock 2 such a success. The graphics weren't much to speak of, well, in its day yeah, marvelous. But it really dug under you and slowly crawled around. Anyway, just as a matter of games that are rare/hardly known; Anachronox. By far one of the better sci-fi games I've ever played. If not, then at least in the RPG catagory. Its witty and inventive. Sly Boots it my anti-hero ideal lol To anyone who's played the game, you know why. |

Grove, you're aware of the System Shock 2 Rebirth model pack and SHTUP texture packs right? Add those and you've got yourself improved graphics

Yes... I have finished the 2 first Metal Gear. Twin Snakes and the other one. For Prince of Persia, I've finished the first version Sand of times, but I only played the second 15 minutes. I could stand the music and the stupid prince's screem when he fight. I have the 3 one and I plan to play it.
Kaoscorp, I don't understand why you like Thief Deadly Shadows! The controls are not good, ans I wasn't afraid at all... I stoped playing with that game after a while. Maybe I'll try to finish it, now that you guys made me remember the existence of this game... I'm still playing Doom 3, and it scares the sh.. out of me!!! God damned! I'll dye of a hard atack before the and! I'm not use to FPS ans when the lights turn of and I have to use the flashligths ans then quickly switch with the weapon... I' all confused because I'm stressed! Yesterday I played, and there was that mutant dog attacking me... I screamed and mMy boyfriend started laughing... Good game! |

I have a PS2, a Xbox and a Gamecube... I'll probably buy a PS3 or the Wii, but I'll wait for the price to low.

My first post around here so Hello People!
Well first off i like to say im amazed the real "game charaters" are replying on this forum, never seen that before think alot of us players appreciate that. And Cindy ive seen you posting you find the FPS-genre difficult to play but i think thats mostly because u play them on consoles (from what i read), well at least thats my oppinion. Think ill keep posting around here -Nielo P.S. Awesome game!!! Can't wait for more |

but yea Doom 3 was quite scary, I find the process of switching between your flashlight and gun annoying but I guess it makes it realistic. |
