Question Install issues

okay i've been through every forum and tried everything i can think of for this.

Recently purchsed this game from Wal-Mart and went to install it. I had no problems with the steam install and activation. Updated the game off the Internet and went to play it.

I keep getting an error when i try and play the game that says
"can't load d:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\kommeat\sin episodes emergence\bin\filesystem_steam.dll"

i ran a check on the cache to verify the files and found nothing wrong with them

i have tried uninstalling sin several times now. also did the same with steam itself. also defragmented the hard drive to no avail

i am running windows xp pro sp2 with an amd athlon xp 2100 processor and 512 meg of ram. i have an ati radeon 9000 video card with the latest omega drivers installed.

Still having issues. any help would be appreciated as i have yet to even see this game load once. THANKS in advance.

Think this needs to be added to the FAQ Rom,

to fix, close Steam, please do a full search for Steam.dll in Windows, ticking Hidden and System files, and delete them all, then run Steam again and see if it works.
