![]() I as many others here really hate what happened to Ritual. But what can we do? Sometimes keeping it to "buissnes" as it all has happened is the only means to survive in any way. I'm not holding anything against MumboJumbo though whatever they do for games so I did contact them and I got an answer reguarding SiN Episodes.
"We appreciate your inquiry and enthusiasm on Ritual's integration with MumboJumbo but unfortunately have no public information in regards to the titles that are currently under development." I might just be getting my hopes up but I do hope those words about under development are true. Only time will tell. |

![]() Sounds good, just remember, SiN episodes has been delayed, not canceled, so to say, still "under developenent", Ritual's attention is elsewhere right now; I do hope im wrong and that they have returned to the series.

![]() Funny when you guy's see a hope, when there actually isn't any... would have been a better idea to release full game, instead of this episodic shit, at least we would have a full game instead of wasting our money's to discontinued bs.

![]() I totally agree with you, Ritual should have released a full game named Sin II, and they probably would have made enough money to make an expansion pack to go with Sin II.

![]() Good to see there are more people who still hold hope that SiN has not been abandoned.
They said they put it aside for right now too. The way I see it, until we get official news that SiN is over with, it's still going to be picked up and dusted off because Ritual (well, not really Ritual anymore) knows how some of us fans are... well, more like fanatics of their work. :P I agree with the episodic move being bad, but they tried to take a bold step with it, and the first episode seemed promising with how it was executed. A full game being made with expansion packs for it would have been a much safer idea. I have doubts however, such as the fact about how some members who worked on SiN 1 are no longer around (I think) and the fact that even though theres a chance SiN will be picked up, it may be a very very long time. -------------------- The price of freedom is Eternal Vigilance. - Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) SiNNER for life. ![]() |

![]() Wow, I'm late to the news lol. I suppose it's fingers crossed for the future with regards Sin. In a way though, a lot of people never thought there was going to be a Sin II, so at least we all got to play a bit more Sin with episode I.
I got to say though... having admired Levelord's work since the Duke3d days, it strikes me that Levelord working on casual games is like seeing Steven Hawking in Burger King. I guess John Romero did it for a while, and he says enjoyed the whole mobile/handheld game making expirence. I can't see Levelord doing it for more than a year or two though. Levelord likes that AAA limelight too much ![]() |

The relevant portion, "no public information in regards to the titles that are currently under development." That is not Mumbo saying that sin episodes is under development, it's mumbo saying "we can't tell you what we're working on right now." It's a standard business response when you don't want to admit what you are or are not working on, on the off chance that a competitor might see your comment and take it as a que as to what they might need to start working on to compete with your product, or a fan of a past product might jump ship if they find out they're not developing the product you want them too and they're trying to string you along in the hopes you'll buy another of their products while waiting on the one you want. Seriously, what casual game company, making games for everyone, would suddenly release a hard core, blow their heads off and make them scream in pain while you cuss them out FPS? And who still is with the former Ritual, that was actually a Ritual tribe member and not someone they hired to work on SiN or the other project that never got off the ground? Levelord? Been a while since he posted here, and a lot of the recent stuff on his site is about Russian and learning Russian. The rate he's losing weight is pretty darn quick though, and I wish I could drop weight that fast. -------------------- <Insert witty comment> |

![]() Tomb Raider Anniversary is on the Xbox 360, and both MomboJumbo and Ritual want to continue sin, they just don't have the funds to d it right now, and that where casual games comes in, there is/was no official word the game has been canned, so stop jumping to conclusions.

![]() Just before MumboJumbo bought Ritual:
(1) Ritual's CEO Steve Nix left to become the Director of Business Development at id Software (2) Ritual's VP & Co-Founder Tom Mustaine left to become the Director of Game Development for the game Severity with Cyberathlete Professional League (3)Ritual's Level Designer John Schuch left to join 3D Realms (4)Ritual's Quality Assurance Manager Michael Russell left. After MumboJumbo bought Ritual: (5)Ritual's Community Relations Manager Steve Hessel left to join Splash Damage. [Above info acquired from wikipedia] IF you ask me, SiN Episodes are DEAD & Ritual is DEAD... If SiN Episode 2 ever sees the light of day I will be pleasantly surprised. Chances are Duke Nukem Forever will be released before SiN Episode 2, and if you remember Duke Nukem 3D you know what i mean... SiN was a great game, SiN Episode 1 was a great game...
