We spent a few hours yesterday testing SiN 1 multiplayer on Steam, playing deathmatch on a few crowd favorites, like Spry, Paradox, Railroad and Sin City. Everything went well, so it's getting pretty close. The game is still one of the best multiplayer experiences out there and I can't wait for this to become available. It's like it's 1998 all over again.

Cool, is it going to be using the steam browser? I would like to know because it's nice to use as you can browse for a server and start joining without having to go into the game first.

Hopefully there will be support for browsing Steam version servers using All Seeing Eye - a program I highly reccommend!

Yes, it uses the Steam Server Browser. It currently reports the map, server capacity and number of players in the map.

I'm finding loads of confused people on other forums...
Some think that SiN 1 is going to source engine.
Some think that only SiN 1 death match multiplayer is going to steam.
Some think that SiN 1or SiN multiplayer will be included with SiN episodes.

I suggest putting it somewhere, where everyone will read it. To exactly clarify it.

All of the original SiN (albeit a slightly modified version of it), including deathmatch and SinCTF, will be on Steam.

We have done work towards a Source version of SiN 1, but we haven't made any further progress on it because it was taking time away from SiN: Episodes 1.

Now I have a question, will it work with our allready owned copies of SIN? or does that mean we have to purchase it again thru steam ? I mean if its only $9.95 who cares but anything more would be rude to us "VALUED" owners.
