EF2 on Mac, "unsupported architecture"

I tried loading EF2 on my G5 powermac, and I thought that I met the system requirements. I have an ATI Radeon 9600 XT-- not impressive, I know, but it should work-- plenty of disc space, memory, etc, and I'm running 10.5. I can post screen shots of the actual system profiler display, but I can't understand why it won't work. It's possible that my direct x isn't up-to-date, but I don't know why that would stop the game from even loading. Any advice?

If it is Intel powered, that might be a problem.
Then again, you could install Windows and start the game from there.

If you don't have a Windows version, you might ask a friend to lend you the CDs, your CD-Key might work with them too.
