Default Arena_deconstruction [Final]
Well it's here. this is the vanilla release only (I will make a hardcorps one soon). There was little time left for me on this and to be honest you get kinda bored after a while so I released a hopefully bug-free (enough) final version.

Not much has changed, added a few details here and there and THE BIG SECRET OF COURSE. (also some of my custom textures from new project were thrown in, so don't be shocked to find new textures in hammer, feel free to use them).

Fun map. Grenade happy zone by the L-junction tunnel on the crate side. GO through the tunnel there from the truck side with a primed grenade and you can get usually 2-3 guys on average with it when you turn the corner.

I did a quick search and couldn't find the answer, so...

How do I run your map? I downloaded the .zip file, now do I extract it to which folder? And what are all the other files for? Where do they go?

I'm ignorant about this sort of thing.

It comes with a txt file that explains it. I don't think you need the Documents and Settings folder. Why is that in there?

Because i was to stupid to use winzip instead of bspzip.

I didn't know there was a textfile with an explanation... Heh. I'm still having issues, far as I can tell...

Going to try it out tonight, hopefully.

Where's the 'materials' folder mentioned in the textfile?

Awesome map. By far the best player created map yet. The guys up top were great. It took me a while to figure out where I was being shot from. I think I found the secret, though it's not really hidden if it's what I think it is. Just something you don't expect to see.

I'm pretty oblivious. If I can't get it to work after fiddling sometime this week (when I'm assuming I will stop being a university student long enough to play SiN Episodes), then I'll try again.

To anyone still concerned about the secret... Here's a big mo'fecking clue.



Get very 'use buttoney' around that misaligned textured brush (where the crosshair is pointing).

Then prepare to enter the shrine...
