Default networking and shit

ok i got 2 computers, both Win98, one has DSL. I already bought the network cards and ect... its all setup and done, all i need is the Internet Sharing Connection program that comes with Win98SE. I only have the full Win98SE installation CD, not the upgrade from Win98. My question is this, is there any way for me to get the internet sharing connection software off the CD?

go to the control panel, then add/remove programs. on top there's a 'windows setup' tab. go into 'internet tools' and check the connection sharing box. then reboot, that's all there is to it.

the problem is there is no connection sharing check box for either one of the computers.

Is the DSL modem internal or external?

For me I have an external cable modem that uses it's own Port on my hub. Just had to make sure each computer had it's own NIC, plug the cables into the hub, and voila. No ICS needed.

Smokey, the hub ensures for future expansion and the fact that the cable modem itself needs it's own port on the hub. The modem goes into the uplink port and computers go into the other ports...kinda weird but it works so I ain't complaining

better watch out with the hubs though...if your isp sees that you have more than one ip address going for a single account, they might start charging you an extra $5 a month for it. (at least that is what happened to me) so i went out and bought a linksys router for my home network
