![]() I was playing online tonight and had the following issues (with ping 200)
- Client side jumping: After the server recordnition the player gets positioned again. This results in a kind of "echo" after a jump (like you get pushed a little after you jumped). - The footsteps are not client side predicted. So when you land you hear the footsteps delayed. - When 3rd person spectating the client is not predicting the moves of the player. This results in a very "unstable" view of the playermodel (because its only updated when the server gives the information). - The beam-in effect is very slow. Because of this the player is mostly rushed away when the beam the effect is running. I suspect making it faster or freeze the player until the effect is done. - Player taunts are global played. They should be played at the players position. - The model head of players are not displayed in the scoreboard. Because of this it is difficult to connect a name in the scoreboard to a player in the game. - No podium is displayed at the end of game. By this the game results are very "unpersonal" because you have no visual connection to the highest ranked players (it's simply a good feeling seeing yourself on the top podium taunting ;-) |
