Hey,
is it possible to start a Lan game that is not dedicated? Since I want to check out the maps.

Also I got the issue, that when I want to start a multiplayer game the game crashes...

Any suggestions?

If you just want to check out the maps, just do a LAN hosted on your machine. It doesn't need to see other machines... It should start up with just you in it. You can mess around in an empty map then.

Hope that sort of made sense... Though I could just be wrong.

Yeah I've tried that already but Sin crashes everytime I want to start up a Lan game

Easy way:
Start Sin1, when in the main screen(after login) press console down and type in "map biodm" or any other map you want to see and test, without quotas.

Yes Grandpapa, it is good to meet you by the way, my id is John Eric Blade. I was wondering how you started LAN Games without the Heat.net server; I had gotten to the Security Headquarters Second Post before I was stopped and the game crashed.

I see on the mapping screen (~) key screen, how you can put map names in and get the pages you want. I like playing with other players on line and would really like to talk to other players.

if you want to test map, use the sin 1 SINGLE player, for an unknown reason, when i try to run a dm maps as server with the multiplayer version, it tries to load the dm map in ctf mode and crash for obvious reason... i havn't investigate much more, but listen server seems very buggy with sin steam...
