![]() recursive error after: FS_HandleForFile: none free
I get this error when I spawn 2 new models I made. (both using the edenmale model) and they are spawned in my new level. The error does not seem to appear when I spawn the same 2 models in another new level I made. The error only happens when I spawn the second model when the first one is in the level. models are happyguy.tik and alan.tik I can have many copies of either model in the level, but when I try to have both models in the same world, the error pops up. Any ideas? |

![]() (This may not be it, but what the heck, I've seen similar with my own stuff.)
Careful when you steal stuff from another model to make your 2 models, with both tiks pointing to common files? You might want to duplicate these files, give them different unique names, and then be sure your tik statements point to these newly named tga - st - shaders - etc. (and don't forget folder paths) This way when the game creates the new cik file it is absolutely grabbing the different pieces by unique names. Again, this is just a maybe! Since you said they both come from the edenmale [ January 13, 2002: Message edited by: Aquatarkus ] |

![]() the odd part is, this only happens in the one level. In all my other levels, and the game levels, it works fine. The textures and everything were changed. The only file they shared is the model and the AI.
They also point to a couple common shaders, like glasses, etc. But that should not be a problem, 90% of the models point to the same shaders for glasses. ------------------------------ Notice to public. .cik files suck! I needed to go back and give my old .cik files the boot. works fine now. w00t. [ January 13, 2002: Message edited by: Exavior ] |
