Default Christian Spotlight: Counter-Strike

I noticed a review of Counter-Strike over at ChristianAnswers.Net. Written by Jason "Medic911" Blum, the level designer behind cs_arabstreets and de_jeepathon. He says that Christians should be aware of simulated violence and pornographic spray decals.

I couldn't find any more game reviews targeted to a Christian audience, so I sent in a request to the Al Menconi Ministries. They have a complex rating system in which Half-Life received a score of 55% (F+). Counter-Strike may fare a little better.

Al Menconi's Q&A section has some interesting responses on violence in video games and open satanic influences in Diablo II. I have also asked for a Q&A concerning realistic tactical shooters in general.

Thanks for the link. Great post!

Wow, almost the exact same way I feel about 'weapons'!
