Default CZ Multiplayer Maps

</font><blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr />
condition zero will feature ten new counter-strike multiplayer maps

Snagged from Ritualistic's random info site feature. Is this true? I haven't heard much (if anything) about the new multiplayer maps.

to clear that up a bit...

Tthe level design team from Condition Zero has been developing 10 new multi-player levels that will be shipping with the game. Some will have an obvious connection with locations visited in the single-player game. Others will be unique locations that we have built. There will be new level/s for all current counter-strike game modes (as, cs, and de).

Hey Caste,

Are you guys keeping the same naming convention? de_bomb, cs_hostages, etc.

Also I have there might be new kinds of multi-player maps. Is this true? Or will there just be the standard de,cs,as,es type of maps.

No mention of a new multiplayer scenario in previews and interviews published since Ritual took over development. Although I do look forward to whatever Ritual has up their sleeves, Valve certainly knows how to keep a project under wraps and isn't making the mistake of overhyping CZ.

I'm 99% sure the nomenclature will remain the same, i.e. de_ritual or cs_beergod.

correct. the naming conventions will remain the same. There will be as, cs, and de maps included, no es (it's essentially a dead game-play mode).

Hmm

A good number of the level designers working on CZ have web pages and are well known in the Quake 3 community. Most of my community stuff didnít really start to get any good until my more recent quake 3 levels. Namely Quake dm1 Vermilion dream (I teamed up with a guy by the handle of Goose who is working on the Xbox version of UT2003) Temple Of Imera I Nyktos Tis and The Potato. I mostly toyed with the concepts of the art of level design and ways to bring things forward in as many ways that no one else was doing as I could think of. I feel that I got hired right around the same time that I really started getting down and dirty with nutty shit like octo-density detail bump blends set up for specific walls in levels. (Quake dm1)

Mr Clean also has a Web page with astonishingly popular and high quality multiplayer levels for the quake 3 community. His web page is http://www.planetquake.com/mrclean/
Check out his levels too

Kiltron is also very well known in the Quake 3 community and has worked on a number of mods. Quite the mad man I must say. His page is http://www.planetquake.com/meanarena/
Eventualy I see the day when he went off and designed a game on his own or something.. hehehe

Then of course there is the Levelord.
Iím sure you already have his web page. http://www.levelord.com/
One of the first level designers I have ever known by name, and perhaps one of the first to make some of the really ground breaking and stylish levels for any game ever made. Duke 3d inspired me!

MadOnion?
How did you find my web page?
Do I know you from some other forum? Like perhaps the quake 3 world forums?

Yes, according to a recent interview. CZ will include most (or all) of the existing maps in addition to 10 brand new maps.
