I don't know about the total number of player models and skins. In multiplayer, there will be five teams per side:

Counter-Terrorist
GIGN (France)
GSG9 (German)
SAS (United Kingdom)
SEAL (United States)
Spetsnaz (Russia)

Terrorist
Arab
Arctic
Guerilla
Militia
Terror

Looking at the CT player model renders, what weapon is the Spetsnaz armed with? Could it be the LAW Rocket:

"This small disposable tube fires a rocket propelled grenade. One shot and you're done. It will detonate on impact and flies somewhat straight-ahead. Don't get hit with one of these or you're definitely beaten."

I believe the Spetsnaz soldier is holding an M72 LAW (Light Antitank Weapon Rocket System).

No renders of the new T models yet. More media will be released around E3, in an upcoming preview/interview, or when the official CZ site goes live.

AK stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova. Kalashnikov is the last name of the AK-47 designer and a major arms brand.

The weapons issued to Spetsnaz are very varied, covering a wide range, and the arsenal carried by a unit is determined before each operation. I cannot identify with certainty the weapon being held by the Spetsnaz soldier because many RPG's are similar in appearance. It could easily be the Russian support weapon RPG-16D or RPG-18 (pictured below):

I seem to remember them using AK-74's (not a typo) in some form.

A typical Spetsnaz soldier is equipped with either an AKS-74 automatic rifle or a submachine gun, plus the standard silenced P7.

The AKS-74 is a folding stock version of the AK-74 assault rifle with a Y-shaped tubular stock. The AKS-74U (= AKSU-74 ?) is another folding stock weapon with nearly 1/2 the barrel length of the AK-74, falling under the classification of a submachine gun, and a "conical flash supressor instead of a muzzle brake." Both weapons were first seen used by Soviet airborne troops, aka Spetsnaz units.
