Default Mapping & Modding

I'm sure Ritual knows that those of us who have made maps or mods for EF are virtually chomping at the bit to start new projects with EF2.

Will we have a dedicated EF2 Map/Mod forum here for related discussion?

Yes, the Ritualistic folks usually wait for the editing tools to be released.

Ok, that's understandable. We'll take the tools now and wait for the game release.

D'oh. Now there is an idea, seriously. Although, how many PC DVD titles have we seen? Yup. Thought so. Oh well, whenever the next "standard" comes around, I'm sure we'll see PC DVD creap onto the shelves.

So...how bout them tools?

I bought a dvd drive for my previous pc, and it was slow as hell. If I don't have to I will never install a dvd drive on my pc.

Then you bought the wrong drive. My DVD drive is two years old and a lot faster than most old-school CD ROM drives - and it even reads DVDs! Wooo! DVD is the future, my guess is that you'll eventually have to buy a good DVD drive.

If im not mistaken the fastest DVD drive is 16x, which is extremely slow by todays standards. Hell I can burn cd's at double the speed a DVD can read

1x DVD-ROM is 8x CD-R speed...The speeds aren't the same.

I know who'd buy that (And then write to Activision about the commbadge being the wrong size by 5mm).

I hate it when stuff like that is done. I won't buy a game I already have just to get something that is rebundled because you can't find the item that's in the "edition" anywhere else.
