Default cheat protection

noticed this built-in cheat protection on commands like 'r_showtris' which is a
useful editing tool. Will this be enabled in the final version?

go into console and type devmap <mapname>

you need to be in dev map mode for it to work.

you have to be in Developer mode I think..
start the demo with:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek Elite Force II Single Player Demo\EF2.exe" +set developer 1

this will get you into developer mode.

You can have the developer mode easier by editing the <user>.cfg
in .../base directory. Type in the Cvars section:

seta developer "1" to enable the developer mode
seta ui_console "1" to enable console
seta ui_minicon "1" to enable miniconsole
seta name "Calzador" for not being called redshirt again

Think that would depent on how popular the game gets
the more people play the game the bigger the chance of
somone making a cheat for I think...

Well then ritualistic, make this game CHEAT FREE. I HATE CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!! Make sure there would be no aim bots, and that junk. EF1 had no cheats, just some scripts to pjump, and zoom, but nothing drastic. So Ritualistic, i hope EF2 will be the same.

Well EF1 is just as easy hackable as q3, rtcw, mohaa, jk2
and sof2 realy depents on how popular the game gets
Also if there was an aim bot for ef1 it would have been pretty
usless for most weapons and since it wasn't a tactical game
wall hacks would have been usless to.

And I dont think there is a game or program
unhackable/crackable just a mather of time..
Its mainly patches or programs like pb that can stop spotted
cheats.. although pb ****s the game a bit up once you had
alot of update's for it..
