Im simply saying that HL2 will most likely come out sept.30th. Obviously you can't get it through to your brain what I am saying, sorry, It's okay breath slow, go slow.

[/ QUOTE ] Valve has a consistent track record of missing release target predictions. What makes you think Valve will meet a specific release date when the company can't even make accurate predictions?

Excerpt from the most recent interview about HL2:

HomeLAN: Many people have said that though they were impressed by the E3 Half-Life 2 demo they still don't think Valve will make its September 30 release date. Can you give us an update on the game's progress and whether it will indeed make that date?

Gabe Newell: The date's still September 30th.

Clipping from a Seattle business journal concerning the possibility of HL2 on the Xbox:

In addition, Hufford acknowledged that another anticipated combat game sequel, Half-Life 2, made by Seattle game developer Valve Software, won't be available for the Xbox as had been previously announced.

"As of now, Half-Life 2 is not going to be on the Xbox," he said. "Valve is sending us mixed messages on that."

Funny, since shortly after E3 Valve announced that an Xbox version of HL2 was in development.

Half-Life 2 Xbox Bound
Not hugely surprising, but nice to see it confirmed: Half-Life 2 will appear on the Xbox. Valve's Doug Lombardi had this to say to AreaXbox: "Yes, we're also working on an Xbox version, though not releasing any specific details on that until after E3."

Half-Life 2 Confirmed for Xbox

In response to that comment, Valve's Doug Lombardi told GameSpy that Half-Life 2 is certainly in development for the Xbox. "Half-Life 2 is planned for the PC and Xbox. We've announced the shipping date for the PC version [September 30, 2003 - ed.], and we'll announce a shipping date for the Xbox version later in the year."
