Default Condition Zero features/Technology

I've been following CZ since the past year when it was with Gearbox. Anyway now that Gearbox is working on PC Halo (can't wait!) I'm glad that Ritual and Valve are working together on CZ.

Now based on the model renders and screenshots, I must say that Ritual's artists have done a superb job! They've injected alot of color and detail into a game based on a 5 year old engine, I especially love the rich colors and sharp textures.

Ok I think I should just get to the point, whats the status on the following features from the Gearbox days?

*What locations/environments will be featured in the SP campaign?

*Whats the status on the SP AI? Is it better than the infamous "Potbot"?

*Do you still have the ability to outfit your team with specific uniform skins (ala Rainbow Six) for different situations? (ex. Desert camoflauge for desert environments)

*Do the new models support Alpha Blending?

*I recently read in OXM (offical xbox magazine) that the xbox version of CS:CZ will support 24-bit textures and dynamic lighting. Is this true for the PC version as well?

*Are there weather effects like rain & snow?

*Sound: has the audio been upgraded from 8bit to 16-bit?

*And finnaly, Is the Molotov Cocktail still in?

1.) CS:CZ takes place in a lot of different areas. Expect each mission to be different

2.) SP AI is based on the HL AI and therefore should be rather good!

3.) I don't think so

4.) Yes

5.) No

6.) I think so

7.) Yes

8.) I believe it is

3) Skins were created for specific environments, 4 for each player model. I doubt the player decides which skin is used.
6) Yes
8) No

As to 3. One of the Ritual people would be able to answer that one better.I am curious as well, In either SP or MP are you able to change at all the looks of the various models? or do you have to go with the de facto look for that particular model.

I dunno, MadOnion (in the words of BrushBaron I think?) "Know's his shit.". Now, either MadOnion should change his name to MadShit and he currently enjoys filming jap scat vids, OR MadOnion knows absolutely everything about cz that has been released to the public and perhaps a little more (Like that Kanaeda wears size A 38 bras while he works on games).

After searching around I have found answers to a majority of my questions. But I still can't find anything definit on:

*Percipitation (rain,snow) effects

*Alpha Rendering (Gearbox had it, I don't see why Ritual would remove it)

*Bot AI. I know Gearbox was using a specialy coded version of the Podbot. What does Ritual have in store, or is it mostly script-based?

paraphrasing the words of a ritual employee- "we started from scratch. valve said 'go forth and create condition zero' and that's what we're doing.'

so they did not in fact remove anything.

CZ uses a modified version the the HL 'grunt' team ai.

the new CS bot that will be included in both the public release and CZ is all new, created from the ground up by Michael Booth on be-half of Valve. They do not use the podbot code in any way. Trust me, they're good; better than any bot ai i've ever played against.

If your conversation was directed at me, I already know that, and I was making a correction from the first post, he said POTBOT. So I just wanted to say that it was POD bot not POTBOT, thats all. Now your direction of who you are talking to must be the others, or who ever else.
