They might as well scrap the whole damn thing. They seem to be pissing everyone off. My respect for them was way up there when the HL2 E3 video was released. Now that respect is in the shitter, and I just took a really big shit right on top of it. Might as well play 1.6 for now until CS2 is out or something, because it sounds like they're releasing bot match+original CS in a box. If I want to play CS with bots, I'm not going to pay 50 clams for it. [censored] assholes.

zoso, you know how Valve codes... They probably inadvertantly broke everything you guys did. :X
hmm No it sounds to me more like they attempted to use the single player versions of the models in the multiplayer. All of the animations for the single player models are different from the multiplayer models.
Perhaps that is what happened. oh well guys...

edit: did he give a reason for the weapon models not working? Or did he just think they sucked too much or something like that?

russell, you know as well as i do that our stuff (Ritual's assets), weapons and characters worked perfectly well in both multiplayer and single player. there were countless times we were up here till 5am testing the hell out of that game. everything worked flawlessly from what we last sent valve.

everything worked almost flawless the last day/night before we sent everything to valve. We tested all of it.
I saw nothing wrong with the models at all. This whole thing is news to me. *shrugs*
oh well...

omg cz crashes a ton, did ritual test cz on steam? and the gameplay is so reptitive, how many shots in the head should it take to kill someone? just [censored] one, I mean come on. the enemies appearing out of thin air is horrible, and all the enemies look so much alike. i know this leak wasn't a gold, but if this is what valve was looking at, i understand the need to upgrade the game

Ive played condition zero and the leak is the single player from ritual that valve had reduced to 12 levels im pretty sure of it.. I think its a great game. The only thing i dont like is going around a corner and come back and theres an enemy poof magically there. Thats probaly from the half life engine I mean guys come on this thing was built 6 years ago. You can only do so much with it and Im sure ritual tweaked it to the best they could.

Ritual created upgraded versions of all CS maps for Counter-Strike Xbox. According to Microsoft, those were supposed to be Xbox exclusive, but it seems that Valve <strike>stole</strike> decided to include those maps with Condition Zero.

I was hoping my clever use of the strike tag would be indicative of this being a joke. Guess I was wrong.

That 4 minute video of CZ that fleko posted, is that from the leaked build of CZ that xile and commando have?

more than likely.

the only other people that have access to that game is ritual, valve, and perhaps sierra. somehow i doubt it was released by any of those three companies.

i take some offense to that weapon comment considering i modeled and animated (or tweaked the animation on) every weapon for czero. and the textures were done by some of the most fantastic skinners i've seen.

well, ermh ...thanks dude) ,btw the models and animations are as fantastic imho.
