Default Stuff In The Works

During the course of CZ's development. I dabbled a bit in my spare time working on a couple of new CZ missions. One where you and your teammates are in the swamps trying to stop the terrorists from bombing a bridge that a train is moving across carrying military arms. The other is a rather unique level as you're flying around a city inside of a helicopter sniping terrorists that have taken over the city, and have planted nukes inside the buildings. More soon.

Great, can't wait to see these missions.

I've also started maikng some maps for CZ singleplayer. My idea is to recreate a semi-futuristic settings. For now i've made a new Counter Terrorist unit, named C-17 (a branch of the NSA), in the style of the CT training. Another map is setted on El Cairo, actually is only a set of cubes for making the basic layout. I'm searching for egyptian-arabian textures of doors, windows and walls.

I have also in mind to make a mission similar to the one on the train in SC Pandora Tomorrow.

BTW Kiltron - I did want to forward this post to Steampowered but though that Valve might get a little arsey about people working on their stuff.... :-(

Let us know if you want the masses to start bugging you to complete it!!!

Cheers for now

Will these missions be added to the worldmap, or will you have to use the console to play them? If you are editing the world map, it would great to see Thin Ice and Building Recon added to it.

Update on the Swamp mission:

Ok, I think I can make an update saying that the swamp mission is now pretty much complete. All I have left to do is record and add teammate dialog, put in the mission objectives, add to worldmap, and do some map optimizations for better performance.

Fixes:

-Models now render correctly in fog
-Fixed invisible hole in ground player would fall through
-Misc. lighting fixes
-Teammates now follow you over waterfall pit.

More later.........

I didn't know that Rusty, thats cool. But I guess with Kiltron adding things to the world map, he would have to add Thin Ice and Building Recon to his map, otherwise it would overwrite your work?

Yep that's true. Though in fact, I have re-edited my World Map to get rid of the maps that are non-functioning. Didn't see much point in being depressed that they left so much out of the game :-(

All it is is a few lines of text that you add to your Worldmap.res so you can add it after there is a new one released....

Cheers for now

No, and I'd wager they won't be released via Steam either. Kiltron is doing this in his spare time for the people who enjoy Deleted Scenes-style missions. It's not an official Valve project or anything.

Edit: The machine is correct.
