Default New Condition Zero (Deleted Scenes) Map Available

As promised, I'm releasing a new Condition Zero (Deleted Scenes) mission. Swamp, which started in production in my spare time during the development of CZ, and went on the backburner until I was able to get more time to work on it, is now available. This should mark the first new mission availabe for Conditon Zero's (Deleted Scenes) and sports new music, dialog, etc.

The mission takes place in the Swamps of Zambia. I look forward to any feedback you guys may have. Thanks.

I am also downloading it at the moment but I have a question.

Once downloaded where to i zip all the files to and where can i activate it in cz. do i go into cz custom made missions or will it be somewhere in the deleted scenes part?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to playing this missions and any other missions you may have coming

my guess is the easiest way to play through it is to load it up through the console using the 'map' command. there is probably a .txt file included that has instructions as to how/where to set this up and how to get it working in-game.

i'm pretty sure the 'custom missions' option is meant for user-made 'tour of duty' style missions, as opposed to custom DS missions.

i looked through the text file and it didnt give a specific folder for it it had an example of

/Condition Zero

but i didnt think it went in that one. i figured it went into czeror

This is explained in the cz_swamp.txt contained in the cz_swamp.zip you downloaded.

1) Extract all the files into your base install path.
(Example: /Condition Zero)

2) Run the Condition Zero Deleted Scenes.exe

3) Press the ~ (tilde) key to bring down the console.

4) Type "map cz_swamp1" (without the quotations)

/Condition Zero is the default install path. The way the files are zipped up, they will automatically go into the correct folder /czeror when you unzip them in the base path.

The mission rockz, very nice job. Good rain effects and nice level design.
But I have sometimes mouselags if I aim on an enemy, any idea?

Ive followed the install instructions and get the error "Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from...." and now none of the missions work. It just crashes the game and brings up the Microsoft error report.

Brilliant Map , A few questions and answers for people

1. Was this the original Swamp mission that was cut from the Deleted Scenes that was to take place before the Drug Lab mission.
2. In the the readme it says

Sorry Steam users, there just isn't a way atm.

What do you mean by that.

Likes/Dislikes

Likes

- Great Look and Graphics
- Nice sounds
- Great to see the LAW in it

Dislikes

- Not enough Auto-Save Points
- Terrorist Leader is un-realisticly strong

Playing this map if you downloaded Deleted Scenes through steam

Extract all the files to

C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/My Email/Condition Zero Deleted Scenes

1) Swamp was never intended for the commercial game. It was a level I was doing in my spare time during CZ's development. I just linked it to one of the other levels I worked on.

2) There's no way to get the file through steam and be a part of the .gcf cache files. This might or might not be a possibility in the future.

The cz_swamp.txt file you have was the old one. I updated the .zip shortly after because I noticed I had forgot to include installation info for both Retail Installers and Steam Installers. New .txt file explains the Steam install. Thanks for the feedback.

Ok , Thanks for updating , just that I had heard a Swamp mission was on the list of missions of the original game. I had no problems getting it to work with the Steam version of the Deleted Scenes.

Great Mission...

Kiltron I have a question for you

Ok the I have the retail version of cz and i have converted it to steam (cz and ds). now last night i was extracting the cz_swamp stuff into a couple of folders that i thought would make it work (condition zero, condition zero deleted scenes, czeror) but in the end i got this error that says something like "couldnt dll App" and some other stuff that went with it. So i tried to play a regular ds mission and it would always crash to my desktop so i figured i messed something up. so i uninstalled ds from steam and i redownloaded it off of steam and not the cz CD. So now its all downloaded but the version i have of ds is the one i downloaded off of steam. so now i will not be able to play cz_swamp unless i get the ds version from my cd? is that correct. If so I will redo the ds download off my cd cuz i want to play this mission really bad.

Kevin

PS. I made a post on the steam forums and it looks like people really like your level and some people have a few questions that they would like answered. the post to the thread i made is down below.

http://www.steampowered.com/forums/s...threadid=81673

good work on the map

Kevin

PS AGAIN: How do i make a backup copy of my steam folder. i am a noob at this sort of stuff. i tried to make a copy of the steam folder on my desktop but it stills adds in things that i add into the original folder in my C:/ Drive

If you have the version of ds downloaded from steam , just place the czeror from the cz_swamp folder in your

C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/<username>/Condition Zero Deleted Scenes

or if you have the latest Steam version

C:/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/<username>/Condition Zero Deleted Scenes

HI. I extracted the zip using WinRAR, and realized after the fact that it overwrote the entire 'czeror' folder, so now I can't play CS:CZ DS at all. SOmeone else in this thread had the same problem. Is there any way someone can post their 'czeror' folder on here for me, in zip file, or whatever, so the other person, and I can play the DS again without re-installing CZ, and loosing all of our game saves, etc.
Thank you!

Then you've done something wrong. It doesn't overwrite the WHOLE czeror folder. Just the files that it needs to. In fact I think the only file it ACTUALLY overwrites is teh czeror_english.txt file...

Cheers for now

I agree, it's not going to over write what you already have just add to it. There's maybe ONE file it overwrites and that's it. If you are worried about your saved games, back them up to another directory, then uninstall and reinstall DS. Finally put your saved games back where they belong.

when i try to play CZ on steam i get an error saying....

Mod_LoadBrushModel: models/shield/v_shield_usp.mdl has wrong version number (0 should be 30)

then after i click ok to that one i get ones that says...

The instructions at "0x0f6e57b9" referenced memory at "0zof9b68bo". The memory could not be "read"

Click OK to terminate the program

Sorry, you guys are wrong, there's an option in WInRAR that replaces an entire file. I had to uncheck it so that it wouldn't do so in furthur cases. So, is there any one who could host that folder by any chance?

Doh... I don't really think you wanted to do that did you..?

I'd just reinstall it. It's not likely that anyone will be allowed to post it anyway. Your request is based on the fact that you don't want to lose your saved games, which if you have overwritten your folder are gone anyway...

Cheers for now
