Default Windows to LInux

I'm switching to Linux in the near future and was wondering if I could save my Sin Episodes, saves.. And would they work they load up since they were saved in windows and loaded in linux? I'm pretty sure steam and Sin work in Linux, right?

Thanks!

Steam and Steam games do not work natively in Linux. Perhaps they run under Wine or WineX, but I haven't researched this subject lately to see if so, and what bugs there are.

Oh, now that's a shame... I don't use Linux, but I'd have really hoped there'd be something that ran it. an update for a later release perhaps? We can live in hope that the non M$ers get the same gaming opportunities as the rest of us...

I think the chances of Steam ever running on Linux are about as nil as you can get. Gabe Newell used to work for Microsoft, you know. We should be happy they at least give us the server software under Linux, but client? Nope.

Linux gaming pretty much went to nothing once Loki Software went bankrupt. Too bad. I have 2 copies of the tin box edition of Quake 3 for Linux (and one tin box for Windows to boot). I was one of the "elite" who really wanted to see Linux gaming succeed. Ah well, we'll always have id and Epic spitting out Linux versions of their games.

I guess this is their sucessor to WineX. Paying by the month doesn't exactly thrill me (which is why I refuse to play any MMO except Guild Wars).
