Default Echo Effect... Wtf?

This is getting on my nerves. No matter what I've been hearing an echo sound, even from blade talking! (I don't have the blade voice mod.) Its annoying to hear an echo like you're in a cave from you talking. Anyone have an idea of what's going on? I've even set the sound quality to medium and two speakers.

I noticed this myself, are you running on an nForce2 system?

Are you running the most recent nForce Unified Drivers from nVidia.com, and do you have the correct speaker setup in the Control Panel?

Also do you have any "codec packs" installed?

Just looked through my hardware manager and I have an nForce4, I'm downloading the updated (so I think) drivers for it now. I'll give an update on wether or not this solves my problem. Gotta play through the game to find out

Played through a level or two and it worked. Though I'm not sure if its just cause the drivers were refreshed or what. And unfortunately I only have it on 2 speakers when I have five. For some reason the sound blaster card thinks that its only two. Go figure.

Yep, for the nForce2 I have UDP Package 5.10 with the 4.62 Audio update.
I have the speakers set correctly (5.1 Dolby Digital) without any extra surround settings or Environments.
I must note that the echo did disappear when I quit and reloaded the game in the docks, but the issue still stands that the echo stayed on.

Yes, but I can't remember which one.
