Why are you using a Quadro for gaming?

Because I am a Professional game designer, and in my spare time I play games as research, modding happens to be where my work and play collide.

I use this computer mostly for 3d modeling, Video editing, Photoshop, among other things, I also won the Quadro at GDC 2006 Thank you Autodesk! although, I liked my ATI x1600 pro better for gaming, the Quadro does out preform it in render times and Poly handleing in ZBrush 2.

but there is no reason why the SIN sdk should not function, because I use the HL2 sdk nearly every day and it works fine.

Engelus, can you please verify the integrity of the SDK tool cache (Right-click in Steam, Properties, Local files), and then refresh the SDK content using the option in the SDK launcher?

validation complete, doesnt present a victory box or anything, simply says that its 0% fragmented, I refreshed the contents and tried it again, still no luck, I sent the error report.

Thanks for the quick reply though

On another note, I browsed through the problem report info, It seems that it thinks I am running Windows NT rather than XP pro which I am running.

I wish i could get this fixed, because I'd really like to start making some arena Maps

I'm still fairly certain this is related to a current Valve vconfig problem.

Michael has been very generous in offering help in resolving this.

Even after removing everything and reinstalling; Hammer will only work for my personal mods, HL2, HL2DM, CS:S, DOD:S and EP1, and for each of those the path window shows when Hammer opens, as it should.
For the SiN:E SDK the path window does not show when Hammer opens.

I agree, I heard the same thing happened to Dystopia after valve updated HL2, luckily for my friend who was mapping for dystopia at the time, valve managed to fix it shortly after.
however, it doesnt make sense that it should work for some and not others.

so the onlything I can suggest to you Rokimoki, is to chill and find somthing else to do in the mean time, you can create your map using hl2 for now and dont place any specific entities and you'll be fine when you open it up as a Sin map. and do try to be patient, you've posted in every single thread concerning this problem and started your own thread, over-eagerness isnt going to get the problem fixed sooner.
