Exclamation EAX 3 in Elite Force II with Creative X-Fi Platinum?

I've recently gotten a Creative X-Fi Platinum sound-card and have put it in my computer, and installed the latest drivers for it from Creative. I was told that the card supports up to like EAX 5 (and more?).

By the in-game Audio menu, I select EAX3, and then tick the Reverb On, and then I click Apply.

The sound resets. But while the reverb remains on, the dropdown menu switches right back to Software, as if perhaps the card is not noticed, or is not recognized correctly...or who knows why.

Help! HELP! Please, help!

This is probably related to your sound driver.
There is northing much you can do except trying a different driver.
