Default Help!!!

Well my monitor went out today so I sent it back to Viewsonic for repair. So I went and dug up an older monitor I had which can only run in 640x480. I am using a Diamond card and had setup hotkeys for various resolutions, but that was not one of them. I tried running in 800x600, no luck. I am on a LAN and was curious if any of you knew a way I can edit the necessary file so that the startup config settings will be that of 640x480. All I have access to is the C: drive and its contents. It not not like I can click the start button and head on over to control panel.

Help me please ;/

If ur using Win95 (and maybe 98, not sure if it works the same) you can hit F8 when the "starting Win 95" message comes up.
Choose to launch into Safe Mode and reset your resolution from there.
Then, just restart windows and it should come up in the resolution you set under Safe Mode.

Thank you for your input, it is appreciated greatly. Although it didn't work. I am running Win ME and I am using LILO for the loader. I did however borrow a monitor changed the refresh rate and the res and was all dialed in Thanks again
