Default NT 4.0 Server + Mouse problemo

Ok, I dunno WTF is going on so maybe someone can help me out.

System:
Gateway GP6 - like it matters..
Tabor motherboard w/ latest bios
Intel 440BX chipset
P2-350
128mb micron
ps/2 mouse and keyboard
PNP OS = NO in BIOS

Problem: no mouse in NT Server 4.0 (NOT WAREZ)

I had Win98 or ME and was using my ps/2 mouse with no problem.

Formatted and installed Win NT 4.0 Server but it did not find my ps2 mouse. MOUSCLASS service fails to load. My ps2 keyboard works fine. So, I try 2 other ps2 mice and still have the same problem.

Formatted, loaded 98 - no problems.
Put NT Server back on and still no mouse.

Formatted and tried another NON-WAREZ NT Server disk and same problem.

This sucks.

I had this happen on my pc.
The problem is the service name is MOUSECLASS but somehow the E just dissapeared on me (and I see that it wasn't just a 1 time thing now).

I don't have that server anymore so I'm not 100% sure of what I did, but I believe I just went through the registry (or maybe it was an ini file or something.. sorry I just woke up) and changed any occurence of MOUSCLASS to MOUSECLASS.

Reboot, mouse works.

Oh wait, I think the service can be renamed straight from the services menus. I honestly don't remember cause I did this crap almost a year ago.. and with tech skills, if you don't use it, you lose it.

While checkin out Win2K I had a simular thing happen with the parallel port. It would NOT find it (start the service for it) no matter what.

I may need to go back and check to see if I can find a "typo" now...lol.

Worst part was, I needed the parallel port because of a dongle used by a program that plugs in there...rrrgg...lol
