Default Joystick Problems

Anyone else having Joystick Problems in FAKK 2. I've got a Microsoft ForceFeedback Pro and it just plain won't work in the game?

I checked the autoexec.cfg for Joystick settings but the .cfg's look far different from other quake engine related games.

Dam, to each his own I guess. I don't know why you guys would want to play this game with a joystick. I guess it's what you get used to. Especially mouse in one hand and joystick in another? Geez, that sounds weird. Can you play ping pong and jack off at the same time? Heh heh, just kidding. I only use a joystick for a sim game. Anything else just doesn't feel right. Joystick just doesn't have the responsiveness that a mouse does.

pooch_skrew,

Thanks for the config file, very helpful indeed.

As to Mike89, get a life. Why do you assholes keep bitching about people using joysticks. It's you guys that don't use Joysticks in FPS's that are losers. If the mouse doesn't feel right in your left hand, ****ing practice it more, it's far superior and more enjoyable than pecking around on a damn keyboard.

The level of control with a good joystick/mouse combination is unbeatable and much more comfortable when playing for hours on end. Most of my gaming buds won't even touch an FPS unless the joystick functions properly so game programmers take note, cause we're all sick of games that have lousy to non-existent joystick support.

Hello ovrboard, wasn't it you complaining that your stick didn't work? It took me a couple of hours to get my joystick configured and working as well, but after several more hours of play I have to say I concur with Mike89. Configuring the keypad is faster and more precise; using a joystick and mouse in tandem is like attaching the controls to the end of a flexible pole. I find getting through hectic situations alive is even more enjoyable than playing with my stick.
