Default SiN2DOOM - SiN weapons in DOOM

This isn't a crazy idea... someone has actually done this, and did a pretty damned good job if you ask me.

http://www.doomworld.com/immoralconduct to download this DOOM mod.

All the weapons are changed to SiN weapons (actual graphics), each with their own effects and the original sounds!

Here are screenshots I took of all the weapons:
http://www.devgame.com/sin2doom

The feeling of the weapons is captured really well.

To play SiN Dehacked:

-you need a copy of DOOM 2
-download zDOOM or DOOM Legacy (choose one)
-download SiN Dehacked

zDOOM: http://zdoom.notgod.com
DOOM Legacy: http://legacy.newdoom.com

SiN Dehacked for zDOOM: http://www.doomworld.com/immoralcond...es/cw-sin1.zip for zDOOM

SiN Dehacked for DOOM Legacy: http://www.doomworld.com/immoralcond...es/cw-sin2.zip

Note: zDOOM and DOOM Legacy are programs that sort of piggy-back onto DOOM and enhance it with things like Glide/OpenGL support, mouselook, transparency, splatter marks, etc.

SiN Deh could possibly work in other versions of DOOM, using zDOOM or DOOM Legacy, but I wouldn't know.

To play just singleplayer DOOM2 with the SiN weapons:

Using zDOOM:
zdoom.exe -file cw_sin1.wad

(Tip: make a Windows shortcut to zDoom and add the parameters).

Using DOOM Legacy:
Start the launcher, click "Single Map", load the cw_sin2.wad file.

SiN Dehacked can be played in multiplayer too (that's what it was made for), but I wouldn't know where to start.

BTW cheats for DOOM if you forgot, are:

iddqd - god
idkfa - give all
noclip - no clip

The author guy just made a DOOM Legacy version of SiN Dehacked. So if you prefer Legacy over zDOOM, get it here:
http://www.doomworld.com/immoralcond...es/cw-sin2.zip

Just load the wad file in "Single Map" off the Legacy launcher.

I didn't realize there was OpenGL support for Doom out there. How good does it look? I'd be interested in grabbing this if it's worthwhile.

Myself I haven't been able to use Glide, D3D, or GL. I get errors and crashes with whatever of the programs I use.

From the screenshots it just looks like certain things are smoother. Textures smoothed out, translucency made true, etc.

I prefer enhanced DOOM for the controls and options though. Mouselook and Nextweapon keys are soooo usefull. Plus jump is good, and everything else.

There are some projects that are re-creating DOOM levels and monsters into a true 3d engine (with 3d models), but of course it isn't professional looking.

DOOM3 where are youuuu
