Yes, Star Trek Elite Force II features several multiplayer modes.

3.2 What kind of multiplayer modes does Star Trek Elite Force II have?
Star Trek Elite Force II features a number of multiplayer modes, both new and familiar. Returning are (team) deathmatch and capture the flag.

Additionally, the game features several gameplay modifiers similar to Unreal Tournament 2003. These include:

Modifiers returning from the first game are Action Hero, Disintegration and Specialties.

3.3 How many and what kind of multiplayer maps does Elite Force II ship with?
Star Trek Elite Force II comes with 13 multiplayer maps. Instead of re-using single player maps, all of these are original maps created specifically for multiplayer.

The maps are evenly distributed between the different gametypes and vary in setting as well as style.

3.4 Is there strafe-jumping in multiplayer?
Just like the first Elite Force, Star Trek Elite Force II features strafe-jumping in multiplayer. Strafe-jumping was initially an exploit in the first Quake game which allowed people to move faster by pressing strafe left/right and jump while moving.

On a related note, it will also be possible to execute rocket jumps and similar trick moves.

Similar to EF, Elite Force II features the option to play against computer-controlled opponents (also known as bots). There are several skill levels for the bots depending on how tough you want them to be.

3.8 How many player models can I choose from?
There are some 25 player models shipping with the game, ranging from Federation officers including the Hazard Team, Captain Picard and Tuvok to aliens like Nausicaans, Borg and even Exomorphs.

Additionally, Electronics Boutique offers a special version of the game containing two additional player models, Lt Jorge Gonzales and the Idryll Low-Grav Warrior.

Technology

4.1 What engine does Star Trek Elite Force II utilize?
Star Trek Elite Force II is powered by the Quake III Arena engine, which in turn is greatly modified and enhanced by Ritual’s ÜberTools technology.

4.2 What modifications have been made to the engine by Ritual?
Ritual's codemonkeys have upgraded every element of the engine, easily making it the most advanced version of the Quake III Arena engine yet.

This technology package, aptly titled ÜberTools, is based on technology enhancements first developed for Sin and Heavy Metal FAKK2. Several other well-known developers have licensed this package for both released and upcoming AAA titles. These titles include American McGee's Alice, James Bond in ... Agent Under Fire and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Editing

5.1 Will there be a software / game development kit for Star Trek Elite Force II?
The Star Trek Elite Force II SDK/GDK will be available shortly after the game's release. This will include UberRadiant, which is Ritual's customized level editor as well as documentation on creating modifications and assets for the game.

5.2 Will the game's source code be made available to the public?
Star Trek Elite Force II's multiplayer source code will be released shortly after the game ships. There are plans to release part of the single player source code, but it has not yet been finalized when and how much of the single player source will be available.

Development

6.1 Can I beta test Star Trek Elite Force II?
At present, there are no known plans for a public beta test of Star Trek Elite Force II. Instead, Activision’s quality assurance department will beta test the game and help Ritual create a bug-free gaming experience.
