SinEd Omega =========== Author: Wilka Last modified: 11-Sep-99 Description =========== SinEd Omega is a modified version of the regular SinEd. Its main purpose is to fix/enhance the editor's GUI (Graphical User Interface) to improve user-friendliness and productivity. I will also look into the possibility to improve some of its functionality features. About OpenGL: I'm not much good with OpenGL so I haven't fixed any of the OpenGL problems with SinEd. You'll still get the OpenGL error when you start, and I do know about it. So please don't email me about. I'll fix it as soon as I can. OpenGL API programming is a specialty by itself and the way Windows9x OS handles OpenGL is not quite kosher so don't expect miracles here. Installation ============ You'll need the original SinEd working before you use this. Read the readme.txt include with SinEd to find out how to set it up. Once you've got it running, all you need to do is copy this exe file in to the same directory as SinEd.exe. Then you can choose to either: - change your present desktop shortcut to point to Sined Omega.exe instead of sined.exe or... - rename sined.exe to something else and rename Sined Omega.exe to sined.exe and leave your desktop shortcut unchanged. Know Issues =========== - mouse wheel zooming might not work for everyone depending on your brand and type of mouse, driver version or OS (Win95 OSR1 or 2, Win98). - memory leaks. SinEd's got lots of 'em but I haven't been able to pinpoint their cause yet.
