| This site was initially created
a couple months after SiN was released. Many people like myself
were interested designing levels for SiN, but had no clue as to
how, and where to start from.
I had done some playing around with the editor
trying to figure out how to do certain stuff, and along with help
from the message boards, I figured out some stuff. I put a couple
tutorials up on a Geocities site. A couple days later Ritualistic
contacted me with an offer for hosting of a tutorials site. I agreed
and created SiN : Blueprints.
Qoole 99 was on the horizon and was going to be
the focus of the tutorial that were going to be written. Qoole's
development got lagged and eventually dropped, although the latest
version and source code has been released, though it's not completely
functional. SinED is a very unstable program, and many people have
a lot of trouble getting it to work. Since I was waiting for Qoole
99, the main reason the development of content for this site went
slow.
I had been thinking to redesign this site, clean
it up, update it and create a couple more tutorials for a while
now, though I haven't figured out yet what these tutorials will
be about yet. I have gotten a small amount of email from people
asking me how to do stuff, and since I needed to do a web project
for school, I killed 2 birds with 1 stone. There has been talk about
a sequel to SiN happening, though no word on if it will happen or
not. If in the future SiN 2 happens, I plan learning how to make
levels and create tutorials for it. |
My name is Mike Mullin. I am currently
a student in Web Design. I have had an interest in level design
for quite a while now, since the glory days of DooM.
There is not really much I can say about myself,
so I'll fill a little space giving credit where its due. Thanks
to www.ritualistic.com
for the hosting, Ritual
for making such a great game. To all the people I know in real life
and online, family etc...
